Refs handle check-ins and on-ice officiating. We provide online training, and BetterPuck players are encouraged to apply. Players who also ref can choose cash or bonus game credits worth up to 2x the cash value.
How it works for Refs
COMPENSATION
Earn up to $101 per game
Every game starts at $75 base pay. Earn up to $26 more through in-app player ratings, where each thumbs-up adds $1 to your payout.
HOME FEED
Pick the games you want to ref
Browse available games and let us know which ones work for you. Our team reviews requests and finalizes assignments so every game gets the right ref.
REF DUTIES
Part host, part on-ice official
Check players in, drop the puck, and keep the game flowing. Our games run with one ref and loose officiating by design.
ONLINE TRAINING
No experience required
If you're already certified, you'll get trained on our game ops (~30 min). New to officiating? You'll get it all, including on-ice fundamentals (~60 min).
